Programs

The Ivory Club of Tampa Bay runs several educational and social programs that can be categorized into four main groups. On the education front, The Ivory Club of Tampa Bay is proud of the enduring partnership with the University of South Florida and many educational programs it runs there. This include the international student exchange programs as well as the endowed scholarship the Club which has provided much needed help to qualified candidates for over a decade.

From a social and community assistance angle, The Ivory Club of Tampa Bay conducts numerous need-based programs as further detailed below.

International Student Exchange Program

An early initiative of the Ivory Club of Tampa Bay, the International Student Exchange Program offers African-American students the opportunity to spend a semester at an African University, a tremendous educational experience for these students. It exposes them to other cultures, and gives them a better understanding of the global community.

The Ivory Club Endowed Scholarship

Since the early days of The Ivory Club creation, an endowment was established at the University of South Florida to support a Scholarship targeting a specific demographic. This Scholarship is a non-renewable award for undergraduate and graduate students with preference given to individuals who are international students from Africa.

Other Educational and Social Activities

The Ivory Club of Tampa Bay provides Need based monetary assistance to numerous educational and social initiatives.

Disaster Relief and Social Assistance

The Ivory Club provides monetary and material assistance to communities across the world hit by natural disasters and other catastrophic events.
